Successful Implantation of a valve to the brain of a child at the Al-Kafeel Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital affiliated with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it had successfully operated on a 12-year-old child by implanting a valve to the brain, indicating that the child's condition was not simple because he suffers from congenital openings of the heart.
The specialist in neurosurgery, Dr. Hussam al-Anbari, said, "The child had other problems in the heart, represented by the presence of congenital openings in the heart, and his condition is complex and not simple, in addition to the main problem, which is the blockage of the cerebral peritoneal valve, and it was necessary to perform a quick operation for him."
Al-Anbari added, "We formed a medical team to study the child's condition, with the participation of pediatric cardiologists and anesthesiologists, and we took the decision to perform a new valve implant operation, which was proposed with the option of valve repair."
The neurosurgeon stressed that "the operation was completely successful as prepared for it without any complications, and that the child's health status after the operation was excellent and stable," noting that "the factors for the success of the operation were available in terms of techniques and medical materials, as well as the skill of the medical team. ".
