The Hussayni Rites and Processions Department holds its annual meeting

The Department of Hussayni Rites, Processions, and Organizations in Iraq and the Islamic World affiliated with the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), held its periodic annual meeting, which brought it together with officials of its representatives and units in the governorates, this Friday afternoon (19 Jumada Al-Ula 1443 AH) corresponding to (December 24, 2021) on Imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him) in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), and the security, service and health departments in the Karbala Governorate.

The head of the department, Hajj Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman, told Al-Kafeel Network: "We used to hold a deliberative meeting every year, with our representatives in the governorates and their affiliated units, in order to identify the most important requirements and problems that may accompany the establishment of Hussayni rites during the mourning seasons, especially the Ziyarat Arba'een."

He added, "During the meeting, the representatives of the two Holy Shrines listened to the most important observations and suggestions that we made or that were submitted by the brothers in the representations and units, and they were discussed extensively in order to come up with one result, which is to promote everything related to the rituals related to the revival of the matter of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)."

He continued, "There were interventions and answers by the representatives of the two holy shrines about everything that was raised in the meeting, and it will be written down for approval in a later meeting, God willing."

He explained, "There was a response, awareness and full awareness of the importance of these rituals and their perpetuation, and work to improve them and prune them from every blemish in a way that contributes to strengthening Husseini rituals and activities."

He concluded, "Deliberations also took place between the officials of the representations and their units on the one hand, and the officials of the departments in the holy city of Karbala on the other hand, to discuss proposals to solve the problems that came in the previous seasons of the Ziyarat, while the service and security departments in the province of Karbala promised that they would strive and spare no effort to serve the visitors of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and to facilitate the work of service processions within the administrative boundaries of the governorate.”
