With a specific operation at the al-Kafeel Hospital: decompressing the nerves and spinal cord

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced that it had successfully treated a patient who suffers from severe spinal cord compression, while indicating that the patient suffers from cervical disc herniation.
Hossam al-Anbari, a specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, said, "We recently succeeded in opening and stabilizing the cervical vertebrae, with depressurization of the spinal cord and expansion of the spinal canal, for a 66-year-old patient," noting that "the patient was suffering from neck pain, which extends to the arms with numbness and weakness in them."
Al-Anbari explained, "After taking the MRI and neurograms, we found that there was compression on the nerves and the spinal cord, which necessitated an operation for him."
