Successful stabilization of complex fractures in a twenty-year-old patient at Al-Kafeel Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala succeeded in fixing complex fractures in the left femur of a twenty-year-old patient.

The specialist in orthopedics, fractures and joints at the hospital, Dr. Ihsan al-Faraj, said, "Our medical team recently succeeded in cutting and modifying the femur, and implanting and fixing a new bone for the left thigh of a 26-year-old patient."

He added, "The patient was suffering from complex fractures with a deviation in the left leg, due to previous operations."

Al-Faraj indicated that "the fracture was fixed by means of (closed blinds), which is one of the modern medical techniques in the Al-Kafeel Hospital, which helped us to perform complex operations," stressing that "the patient's health status is stable and he is able to stand on his feet again, after 24 hours after the operation."
