Colon surgery specialist at the hospital, Dr. Ahmed al-Hajj, said that "our medical team succeeded in removing the pelvic colon pockets for a 39-year-old patient," noting that "the patient was suffering from nausea and a high temperature with severe pain in his abdomen."
Al-Hajj added: "After conducting the necessary tests, we found out that he had a diverticulosis of the colon, or what is known as (the pelvic pockets)."
The colon surgery specialist explained that "the operation was performed using laparoscopic technology through four small holes in the abdominal wall," stressing that "the patient left the hospital 24 hours after the operation."
