A qualitative participation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in the activities of the Karbala International Book Fair

The activities of the sixteenth edition of the Karbala International Book Fair, which is held by the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine in the square between the Two Holy Shrines, started this morning, and will last for ten days, with the participation of (60) publishing houses from ten Arab and foreign countries, in addition to Iraq.

The tape of the exhibition's opening was cut by the Senior Official of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai and its General Secretary, in addition to representatives of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the Governor of Karbala.

This exhibition included a pavilion for the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by the two departments of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs, and included a distinguished and varied bouquet of publications with religious, intellectual, and academic contents and titles.

The participation, like the previous ones, was characterized by displaying a variety of publications from the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in various specialisations addressed to all age groups.

The products that were presented from valuable books and publications highlighted the size of the cultural movement and the scientific and intellectual renaissance experienced by the al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine, which reflected positively on the titles that were displayed from the creativity of the writers of the Holy Shrine, in the cultural, intellectual and heritage fields that were characterized by the modernity and diversity, noting that all these publications are the products of the Holy Shrine starting from the authorship to the printing, which distinguishes the pavilion of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
