He added, "The High-Level Political Forum in 2022 will review progress towards the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the interlinkages with the Sustainable Development Goals: (SDG 4: Quality Education. SDG5: Gender Equality. SDG 14: Life Under Water. SDG 15: Life on Earth, SDG 17: Partnerships for Goals). The report will present the progress achieved by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in these goals."
He explained that "participation in this global event is a good opportunity to review the progress made by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to achieve the goals of the Sustainable Development, and to conduct what can be described as a self-evaluation of its efforts, which is an affirmation of its commitment to moving forward to achieve these goals. Also the participation of countries and institutions with their various experiences opens the door to benefit from the experiences of others, thus enriching the experience and efforts of the Holy Shrine to achieve the sustainable development goals, and then make this information openly available on the Internet."
Hassanein stated, “The forum will take into account the different and specific impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, across all the SDGs, and the integrated, indivisible and interrelated nature of the goals. The online consultation will also improve access to information and promote broad and participatory participation in the follow-up and review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda."
It is noteworthy that this participation is a result of the achievements of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in its various sectors in achieving the sustainable development goals, officially known as (Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development), which is (17) goals set by the United Nations.
