The launch of the activities of the fourth edition of the forum of Culture's Women Pioneers

The Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Women’s Library of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the activities of the fourth edition of its forum, entitled (Culture's Women Pioneers), organized by its Reading Support Unit under the slogan: (Empowering and developing intellectual and cultural creativity is our responsibility).
The forum was held this morning, Saturday (8th Sha’ban 1443 AH), corresponding to (March 12, 2022), at the Imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him) in the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine, in the presence of a large gathering of academic personalities, researchers and interested parties.
It began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine "Pride's Melody". This was followed by the speech of the director of the Umm al-Baneen Library (peace be upon her), in which she explained the need to unify women’s efforts, to enable them to innovate and elevate their cultural reality socially, indicating that “one of the signs of the advancement of nations is the emulation of their scholars, so the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine has given, under the direct follow-up of its Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, great interest to the cultural work, as an indispensable necessity, especially as a library that enjoys a heritage and an ancient store of knowledge sources, and all the elements of cultural work aimed at extending its bridges to all sides.”
Then a documentary film was shown that dealt with the chronological stages of the development and expansion of the Library Friends and Culture Pioneers program, which was implemented by the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Women's Library.
Then the research sessions were opened to discuss the winning research within the research competition, which included themes in the development of library services and reading, and it was two sessions.
After that, the discussion was opened with the first winner of the bi-annual Library Friends competition for the eighth season, about the book (Awareness and Perception) of its author Hassan Ali al-Jawadi.
To conclude this event by honoring the winning researchers, as well as the winning participants in the literary abstracts of the bi-annual Library Friends Competition in its eighth season.
