Restoration of the dislocated hip of a 6-year-old girl at Al-Kafeel Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced the success of treating a girl suffering from congenital hip dislocation and short limbs.
The orthopedic and fracture specialist at the hospital, Dr. Burayr Muhammad Ali al-Asadi, said: “Our medical team succeeded in returning the congenital hip dislocation with cutting the pelvic bone and shortening and rotating the femur, for a six-year-old girl,” noting that “the girl suffers from congenital hip dislocation and she underwent a previous operation on the left hip joint."
Al-Asadi explained, "During the operation, the dislocated hip was returned to its normal position, and thus the shortness of the limb was treated, as well as an improvement in the mechanical condition of the joint," noting that "the operation took four hours and the patient is now in good health."
