Head of the Shiite Endowment Office: There is an urgent need to expand the outer courtyards of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine

The head of the Shiite Endowment Office, Dr. Haydar al-Shammari, stressed that there is an urgent need to support the efforts of the al-Abbas's (p) shrine in the expansion of the outer courtyards of the holy shrine, by buying the surrounding lands.

Al-Shammari said that "the expansion work of the holy shrine requires a government effort, represented in providing the financial amounts to be provided by the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the Ministry of Planning, in addition to the parliamentary effort to provide these necessary financial allocations."

He added, "These land acquisitions will serve as the basis for the various future projects of the Holy Shrine, and the numerous courtyards that accommodate millions of visitors annually."

The head of the office stressed that "the office will strive with all its competent departments, in order to strive with the relevant ministries and parliamentary committees, to provide the necessary financial allocations, in order for the al-Abbas's (p) shrine to be able to acquire these properties, and implement the designs on the ground."

It is noted that the head of the Shiite Endowment Office, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Dia' al-Din, toured the areas surrounding the Holy Shrine with the designs prepared by the Secretariat of the Holy Shrine for the expansion of the holy shrine and its surroundings.
