Month of Ramadhan in memory of Karbala

"It seems clear that this holy month may differ in the city of Karbala from the rest of the months with special features, which we may not find in other cities of Iraq," said the writer Ali al-Khabbaz, head of the read media division of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The old traditions during the holy month of Ramadhan in Karbala had some peculiarities, which were restored after 2003, for example, the people of Karbala in the month of Ramadhan regularly attend the councils throughout the month of Ramadhan.

These councils were held in the courtyards of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) as well as in some mosques and hussayniyat in the neighborhoods surrounding the city center, so the people of Karbala in the past decades were present throughout the month of Ramadhan in these holy places in order to benefit from these councils" .
