The Kirkuk and Baghdad teams launch the eighth edition of the Quranic competition teams

The courtyard of the Holy Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) witnessed the launch of the eighth edition of the Quranic competition organized by the Institute of the Holy Quran, affiliated to the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The competition witnessed a good Quranic competition between the participating teams, as the tape of this competition was cut and the teams of (Kirkuk and Baghdad) competed for the playoffs, and the competition resulted in the victory of the Baghdad team, and all remaining teams are waiting to determine the highest scores of winners; to qualify for the second stage.

The activities of the competition, which starts every evening, consist of different questions, including the recitation of a verse in a specific place, and the interpretative meanings of a number of Quranic verses, as well as the specific rules of the Holy Quran, in addition to the rules of recitation and memorizing by the reader, new paragraphs have been added to the competition such as the Quranic manuscripts and many others, and the evaluation and supervision is done by a specialized committee on Quranic Affairs.

Each team participating in the competition consists of (reader, Hafez, and interested in interpretation), and will last for (15) days, and the competition witnessed media coverage from a number of satellite channels and various media, where the Al-Kafeel Center for artistic production worked to provide a free frequency for the satellite channels, in addition to the live broadcast through the Euphrates channel and the Holy Quran channel.
