Successful implantation of a mechanical valve in the left atrium at Al-Kafeel Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully transplanted a mechanical valve to a patient suffering from a narrowing of the valve.

"The medical team at Al-Kafeel hospital succeeded in treating the thrombus and implanting a mechanical valve in the left atrium of the heart of the 57-year-old patient," said the specialist of cardiac surgery at the hospital, Turkish doctor Youssef Abdulov, noting that "she was suffering from a narrowing of the valve with a thrombus in the left atrium of the heart".

Dr. Abdulov praised "the medical and nursing competencies that Al-Kafeel hospital has", pointing out that they "work around the clock to serve the patient".
