Teacher at Al-Kafeel University gets a global invention patent

Assistant professor Dr. Zaid Mahdi Jaber al-Obaidi, teaching at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Kafeel University, affiliated with the Higher Education Authority, has obtained an international patent on the manufacture of a pharmaceutical derivative using green chemistry mediated by microwave, by preparing the compound by increasing production and reducing the time and solvents to reach the cost of the reaction to more than 90%.

Al-Obaidi was able to publish this patent on the official website of the World Intellectual Property Organization-Patent Cooperation Treaty (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

He stated, "We are proud to have obtained the Patent, and we are pleased to thank the presidency of Al-Kafeel University for its continuous support, to complete these projects using applied research, and take advantage of the academic facilities and distinguished laboratories available therein".

It is noteworthy that Al-Obaidi holds the title of (inventor) from the International Federation of Societies of Inventors, to be the fifth patent in his credit (three local and two international), and he is a full-time scientific at Aston University in the United Kingdom to conduct some pharmaceutical research, noting that the patent is published on the following link:
