The holy shrines offer their condolences to the families of the victims of the traffic accident in Babylon

The delegation of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) conveyed sincere condolences of the Senior Officials and all staffs of the holy shrines to the families of the victims of the traffic accident in the Tunis area in the province of Babylon, who were exposed to it after returning from visiting the holy shrines in Karbala.

The two delegations attended the Fatiha Council of the victims, held in Jableh district, and met with the families of the victims and offered them the condolences.

The representative of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine within this delegation, Mr. Adnan Gelokhan al-Mousawi from the Religious Affairs Department, stated: "according to the instructions of the Senior Officials of the holy shrines, we came today to attend the Council of condolence of the victims of the unfortunate and terrible road accident because which a group of lovers of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), from the educational staff, passed away after returning from the Ziyarat during these blessed days of the holy month.”

He addressed a speech to the relatives of the victims, in which he said: "We must be patient with this scourge, and on the other hand, these victims have returned from the Ziyarat, and it is reported from Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) that he said: (whoever visited me I visit him), as well as passing away while fasting, and both acts are of the best one can perform during these days. Allah Almighty said: (That ˹eternal˺ Home in the Hereafter We reserve ˹only˺ for those who seek neither tyranny nor corruption on the earth. The ultimate outcome belongs ˹only˺ to the righteous.) 28.83".

The families of the victims and members of the Al-Fatiha Council of the educational staff expressed their thanks and gratitude for the presence of the delegation of the two holy shrines, and asked them to pray for them at the two holy shrines.

It is noteworthy that the said terrible incident, which occurred in the Tunis area in the province of Babylon, took the lives of eleven of the teaching staff -may Allah have mercy on them all-.
