The annual condolence Council held in the Square between the two holy shrines to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

The Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized its annual Council of condolence, which commemorates the martyrdom anniversary of the Lord of the monotheists and the master of the Guardians, Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), which is held after the Fajr prayer every day and lasts for three days, starting from the nineteenth until the twenty-first of the month of Ramadhan.

The head of the Department, Mr. Nafi al-Moussawi stated to Al-Kafeel network: "this council is established annually, and we chose this time because it is the time of the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and witnesses the presence and interaction of visitors".

He added, "Our council this year, was held by Sheikh Mohammed Ali al-Rikabi, who highlighted in his lectures some parts of the life of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him).”

Al-Moussawi continued, "The council is followed by a lamentation council, with the participation of the following Radoods: Sayed Hussein Aal-taameh, Hussein Sabah al-Karbalai and Hussein al-Aqili, who recited elegies about the misfortune of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and the tragedy of his loss through lamentations.”

The department between the Two Holy Shrines has worked to prepare places for this council, as well as providing platforms in addition to organizing the ranks of visitors participating in this Council of condolence.
