The al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine welcomes Amal Institute for the care of deaf, dumb and persons with special needs and their families

The public relations department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine hosted a delegation of (160) deaf and dumb individuals at Al-Amal Institute for the care of the deaf and dumb and people with special needs in Diwaniya governorate with their families, as part of a program prepared to receive community groups during the holy month of Ramadhan.

The head of the University and school Relations Division of the said Department, Mr. Maher Khaled al-Mayahi, stated to Al-Kafeel Network, "Seeking to maintain communication with this segment of the society, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, hosted this segment according to a program prepared for them and included a number of activities, the most important of which was to visit the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and to conduct a tour of their museums and their corridors".

He added, "after the performance of the Maghreb and Isha prayers, the delegation got the honor to have the Iftar meal at the host restaurant of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, then a session was held for them in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), beginning with a speech introducing the leaders of this institute, and the tasks assigned to them. There was also an educational and guidance lecture presented by Sayed Mohammed Abdullah al-Moussawi from the Department of religious affairs, in which he spoke about several religious, moral and guidance themes that were adapted to the level of this category, whether they are families or cadres of the Institute who are responsible for them".

To conclude this program by offering blessed gifts from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

In the same context, the director of the Institute, Mrs. Heba Mohammed Abdul Hussein, expressed her happiness with this initiative, saying that it is "a precedent of its kind for this category, which suffers from lack of attention and care, it drew joy on their faces and was overwhelming in their hearts, and they are honored by this visit and the tour they undertook for the first time, thank the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for providing this opportunity and this gesture".

For his part, the coordinator of the delegation, Mr. Arkan Karim, said that "the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is a pioneer in humanitarian projects, so the joy was evident on the face of this segment, and they expressed it in their simple language that today they were very happy, and it has made them feel that they are equal and in harmony with the rest of their peers, and this feeling will enhance their self-confidence. Also, their relatives extended their thanks and gratitude to the holy shrine for this initiative".
