The host restaurant Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine revealed that it distributed (364,262) Iftar and Suhoor meals, in addition to a ton and a half of sweets provided to visitors during the holy month of Ramadhan.
Adel al-Hamami, head of the Department, stated to Al-Kafeel Network, "based on the directives of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the host restaurant has developed a special feeding plan for this holy month, including the provision of Iftar and Suhoor meals for visitors to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), in addition to the distribution of a ton and a half of sweets".
He added, "Our staff began to apply the plan since the first night of the blessed month, and continued until its last day with a focus on the special occasions of the holy month, such as the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the Qadr nights in addition to the night of Eid, where the efforts were doubled especially that the number of the visitors of these holy shrines have increased during these special days.”
"We adopted a distribution plan that ensured feeding the largest possible number of visitors, through the expansion of distribution outlets on the one hand and the opening of outlets close to the movement of visitors and places of congestion on the other hand, to be close to them".
Al-Hamami explained that" the preparation of food was done early by the staff of the department, in a way that makes the meals meet the taste of the visitor who is going to this place, in order to be honoured and blessed by eating the food of the host restaurant of the master of generosity; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), " following "we took high coordination and organizational measures through which we were able to absorb the momentum of visitors on the one hand, and bless them receiving and eating these meals on the other.”
