Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines achieves self-sufficiency of seedlings and ornamental flowers

The Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that it has achieved self-sufficiency of flowers and ornamental seedlings according to each season, to meet the needs of green spaces in its gardens, through its arboretum, which was established for this purpose, to be a qualitative leap in continuing development, improving this square and beautifying it to the delight of the eyes of its visitors.

The head of the Department, Sayed. Nafi’ al-Moussawi, stated to Al-Kafeel Network that "the department has a plan of action to follow, and its most important is to rely on itself and its staff in the implementation of its work, and the nursery of the department was able to achieve self-sufficiency for the needs of the Department of flowers and seasonal ornamental trees".

"Due to the growing need for ornamental seedlings and flowers in perpetuating the gardens of the square between the Two Holy Shrines, which is one of the most prominent vegetative manifestations in this holy place, and in order to maintain its elegance and beauty, the department has established a nursery with an area of more than (500) square meters, which can cover our need with different types of ornamental flowers of high quality and specifications," he added.

Al-Moussawi said that "the arboretum is managed by a specialized staff, and has succeeded in introducing a group of roses and multiplying them, and the types of these roses reached more than eleven types".

It is noteworthy that the Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines pays great attention to the vegetative side of its gardens.
