The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine takes serious steps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals

The Committee of the file for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that it is continuing to work on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and has been able to make strides in this field.

A member of the committee in charge of this joint file between the Departments of Media and Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Karrar Sahib, stated to Al-Kafeel Network, "we organized at the imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him) at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, an expanded seminar in the presence of a number of heads of its departments and their assistants, to explain the dimensions of its addition and its impact on the global map of sustainable development applications (SDG), and to indicate what the holy shrine has reached in achieving these goals and objectives, which fall within the various dimensions of sustainable development, such as the economic, environmental, social and educational dimensions, and many other important joints".

He added, "the seminar witnessed a presentation of what was achieved during the past period, presented by the member of the committee; Professor Dr. Mushtaq al-Ali, who highlighted the importance of sustainable development and its goals and objectives, in addition to reviewing the participation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in conferences and workshops of the United Nations and the Iraqi Ministry of planning, and achieving a high percentage of the goals and objectives of Sustainable Development, which are seventeen goals, during a specific period as a model of achievements".

"During the seminar, we addressed the statistical indicators achieved during this year, and what has been added from new projects through this report, in addition to the steps taken to prepare the voluntary report that will be issued at the end of this year in cooperation with the Ministry of planning," he said.

The seminar witnessed the presentation of a number of opinions, proposals and inquiries by the attendees, on the topic of the seminar, which is hoped to be followed by other seminars and meetings, to crystallize these ideas and discuss what was produced.

The seminar was organized by the Center for indexing and information systems of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, in cooperation with the Al-Kafeel Center for information and statistical studies of the information department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
