A medical team from the Eye Center at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully performed a complex operation on a patient suffering from eye fibrosis, after he was about to lose his sight.
"We performed a complex surgery on a 63-year-old patient who complained of fibrosis and cataracts on the eye as a result of diabetes," said Dr. Haider Abbas, an eye surgeon at the hospital.
"We removed the existing fibrosis on the retina and withdrew the cataract, implanted a lens of excellent Origin for the patient and cut the vitreous fluid," he added.
Dr. Abbas pointed out that "the operation was highly successful, and the patient's eyesight will improve and return to normal, and we were helped in this success by the presence of operating theaters equipped with the latest technologies and medical devices".
