The head of the Department, Mr. Aqeel Abdul Hussein Issa, stated to Al-Kafeel Network that "the website contains a number of important pages, including news about the activities and events of the department, in which we relied on the archive of the department in the Al-Kafeel Global Network (the official website of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine), as the site was provided with more than (1000) News that were published in the Network, in order to preserve the rights of the media working in the Network".
He explained, "There are a number of various pages that have also been added, such as the visual and image library, in addition to the most important page, which is the publications, we have worked to publish a small part of the archive of the Department of intellectual and Cultural Affairs in print, and publishing has been limited at present to magazines and bulletins, as books and encyclopedias will be published later, God willing, as the department has a large number of more than (600) publications, in addition to a number of peer-reviewed magazines".
He pointed out that "the design of the site came in a simplified form and includes few options, to make it easier for the recipient to navigate between the pages of the site, and work is continuing to improve the design by adding some icons and future services".
He concluded, "The Centers and divisions of the Department joined forces to accomplish this work without relying on external cadres, and the staff of the electronic reference Center for Informatics contributed in the technical aspect, in addition to the contributions of the scientific division in the media, documentation and archival aspect".
