The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honors a group of families of the martyrs of the Speicher massacre

The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with the participation of its Senior Official; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, honored a group of families of the martyrs of the Speicher massacre, at the closing ceremony of the sixth edition of the Holy Defense fatwa festival, which was held this Friday afternoon.

A member of the preparatory committee for the festival, Mr. Aqeel Abdul Hussein al-Yasseri, said that "this honor came out of the keenness of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, its Senior Official and its general secretariat, to remember all the relatives of the martyrs of Iraq who sacrificed their fathers, sons and brothers, in order to defend the country and its shrines from the desecration of ISIS criminal gangs".

"The preparatory committee for the festival has given great importance to the families of the martyrs of the Speicher massacre, which broke the hearts of all Iraqis, because of the brutality exerted against more than (1,700) young Iraqis, who were killed by the most criminal, bloody and brutal gangs, so that its wound is still fresh and bleeding," he added.

"The families of the martyrs were distributed in the form of groups, each group is honored in one of the editions of the festival, in the hope that we will include all the relatives of the martyrs in the next editions of the festival, God willing," al-Yasiri said.

For their part, the families of the martyrs of the Speicher massacre expressed their sincere thanks to the administration of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for this honor and Remembrance, as it is proactive in providing support and assistance to the families of the martyrs, as well as checking their conditions from time to time.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has been and continues to provide material and moral support from time to time to the families of the martyrs and wounded of the Holy Defense fatwa who met the call of the religious authority, to defend the land of Iraq and its holy places.
