Al-Kafeel Museum of precious and manuscripts holds its fifth scientific symposium

The Al-Kafeel Museum of precious materials and manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held its fifth scientific symposium on Saturday, entitled “the basic elements of a successful museum”.

"These seminars are one of the outcomes of the Al-Kafeel International Museum Conference, the purpose of which is to spread Museum and archaeological culture and instill this culture among museum visitors," Said Sadek Lazem, head of the museum Department.

"Today's seminar, which was held at the imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him) at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, was presented by Professor Dr. Munther al-Mundhari, assistant dean for Scientific Affairs at the Faculty of Arts/ University of Baghdad, and was held in attendance and electronically on the zoom application," he added.

"We have a weakness in the aspect of visiting museums, so we seek to strengthen this cultural aspect, which contributes to strengthening the national identity, by getting acquainted with our Iraqi heritage," said the head of the museum Department.

It is noteworthy that a schedule has been set for holding these seminars, which will address various topics on museum culture, heritage and antiquities and how to care for them, and one or more seminars will be held every month.
