The Media and Communications Authority conducts an examination inside the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to measure the level of non-ionizing radiation

The Communications and Information Technology Division of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the Media and Communications Authority in Karbala governorate, conducted a periodic field examination of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation.

The official of the mentioned division, engineer Firas Abbas Hamza, stated to Al-Kafeel Network that "this examination is one of the tests that are held every two years periodically and aims to measure and detect the level of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation inside the holy sanctuary and the holy courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and ensure its level within the international standards".

"The tests are to preserve the environmental conditions and the safety of visitors and those who are honored to serve them from the staffs of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine from the danger of these radiations emitted from communication towers, "he added, noting that the team has focused, through the authority's devices and advanced technical equipment, on measuring radiation levels.”

"The results of the field survey showed the suitability of the atmosphere within the limits set by the Ministry of Environment and the World Health Organization, less than the levels of negative impact on humans, and within the safety limits allowed in the law of protection from the intensity of non-ionizing radiation of the Iraqi Ministry of environment," he said.

It is worth mentioning that the communications and Information Technology Division is keenly applying the highest international safety and quality standards in all its work joints and constantly seeks to improve its work and update its staffing information to keep pace with the development in its field of work, including conducting these periodic inspections.
