A medical team succeeds in repairing a broken leg bone of a patient who were injured after a traffic accident

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital managed to treat a young man who suffered multiple fractures following a traffic accident, while the specialist doctor confirmed that the injury was in a number of broken bones.

Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Dr. Ihsan al-Faraj said that "a young man in his twenties came to us with fractures in the groin, leg and knee area, following a traffic accident," noting that "after conducting the necessary tests and X-rays, it turned out that there were fractures in the femur and tibia, and the kneecap was crushed in the knee".

"The young man was suffering from blood loss and his health condition is poor," he said, adding, "which necessitated an operation to stabilize the femur and leg bones, and to treat the crushing of the knee with a wire through one surgical opening around the knee with a length of 10 cm".

Dr. al-Faraj pointed out that" the young man is currently recovering, and physical therapy will begin soon, "pointing out that "the availability of technical capabilities and staff capable of dealing with such cases, enabled us to succeed with operations of this kind".
