Visitors flocked to Karbala to perform the Ziyarat rituals of ‘Arafah

The last hours of this Saturday morning witnessed the arrival of the devotees of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), in order to commemorate the Ziyarat rituals of the day of Arafah amid high-level service and security alert by the servants of the two holy shrines.

The movement of visitors from inside and outside Iraq has started since yesterday, Friday, and it is constantly increasing to reach its peak on the afternoon of the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah (the day of Arafah), and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with all its departments has begun to apply an integrated security and service plan to provide the necessary services to receive visitors and arrivals to the shrine on the Ziyarat of the day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha.

It is noteworthy that this Ziyarat is the first after an almost complete interruption that lasted for two consecutive years as a result of the corona epidemic and its repercussions.

It is noteworthy that it is recommended to visit the holy tomb of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on this day, for its reward is equal to the reward of one thousand times of Hajj, `Umrah, and one thousand times of Jihad (holy war), and even more. The narrations entailing the great merits and rewards of visiting the holy tomb of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on the ninth of Dhu’l-Hijjah have been uninterruptedly reported. If fact, the reward of visiting the holy tomb of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and having the honor of attending therein is not less than the reward of attending on Mount `Arafat and even more.
