The shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) embraces the activities of the central celebration of Eid al-Ghadeer

The courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) hosted this Monday evening the activities of the annual central ceremony of the Eid al-Ghadeer, organized by processions and bodies of the holy city of Karbala in cooperation with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The ceremony witnessed the presence of the secretaries-general of the two holy shrines, several of their officials and the servants of the two shrines, in addition to a group of visitors who came from inside and outside Karbala to celebrate this occasion at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), who carried roses as an expression of their happiness and rejoicing on this great occasion.

The events, which were held in an atmosphere full of joy and holiness on the occasion of the Great Eid of Allah and the completion of the blessing of the Wilayat of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the general secretaries of the two holy shrines, delivered by Mr. Hassan Rashid al-Obaiji, secretary-general of the Imam al-Hussayn’s (p) holy shrine, followed by the speech of the people of Karbala, delivered on behalf of Sheikh Ali Kamouneh al-Karbalai by Haidar al-Moallem.

The two speeches focused on the importance of this anniversary and the great meanings it carries for Muslims in general and the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in particular, because this day is a historical day and is the best of Eids as it is the greatest Eid of Allah, and how to make the most of this great occasion on the hearts of Muslims by following the approach and footsteps of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).

After that, a number of poets and Radoods ascended the podium in succession, namely the poet Ali al-Saffar al-Karbalai, the poet ‘Awdah Dahi al-Tamimi, the poet Karrar Hussein al-Karbalai, the poet Hussein al-‘Okaili al-Karbalai and the poet Ali al-Waeli al-Karbalai, who presented their poems, rhymes and Tawasheeh that glorified the owner of this auspicious memory, whose virtues and attributes are beyond counting and description, and added the spirit of pleasure and joy in the souls of believers.

There was also the participation of a group of students of the Karbala Hussayni Heritage School.

The celebration also included the distribution of Al Ghadeer competition coupons to the participants, after which the winners were honored.
