The launch of the first day of the central Festival of Eid Al-Ghadeer with the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine

Yesterday evening, Thursday (21st Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH), corresponding to (July 21, 2022), the activities of the first Central Eid al-Ghadir festival, which is held by hussayni bodies, processions and institutions in cooperation with the holy shrines, were launched on the grounds of the city's International Stadium, with the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine board member Haj Jawad al-Hasnawi stated to Al-Kafeel Network that "the participation in this festival celebrating the Great Eid of Allah, Eid al-Ghadeer, came at the direction of His Eminence the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and its general secretariat, to complement the program of celebration of this anniversary, which activities are still ongoing at the holy shrine through its departments and centers".
He added, "the intellectual and Cultural Affairs department represented the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine at this festival, as it participated with a pavilion in the exhibition in which many of its cultural – intellectual – religious – developmental – heritage – academic - scientific - philosophical - children's culture and other publications was presented, as well as a space was allocated from the pavilion for works of art".
"The Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts also participated with a pavilion within the space of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, where models of the museum's holdings were displayed, such as manuscript images and rare collectibles, in addition to displaying copies of other museum pieces dating back to ancient times, as well as allocating part of the pavilion to illustrate the manufacture and maintenance of arabesques or the so-called SEAL (final works), which is one of the elements of ancient Islamic art and a symbol of Islamic architecture," he said.
"The media department of the holy shrine also contributes to covering part of the festival's activities," al-Hasnawi concluded.
