The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded on Friday evening its participation in the activities of the first Central Eid Al-Ghadeer festival, which was held by Husseini bodies, processions and religious institutions in cooperation with the holy shrines, on the City Stadium in the capital Baghdad .
The participating pavilions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, represented by the Department of intellectual and cultural affairs through the book exhibition, and the Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts through the display of various museum models and photographs in addition to works of art, witnessed praise for the good organization and value of the display.
This was confirmed by several visitors to these pavilions, such as Sayed Rashid al-Husseini and Sheikh Tariq al-Baghdadi, director of the Al-Qabas Cultural Foundation, and a large number of visitors to the exhibition, which was held on the sidelines of the great celebration hosted by the habibiya Stadium, in celebration of the Great Eid of Allah, Eid al-Ghadeer.
In a context related to the festival, Sheikh Ahmed al-Safi, head of the Religious Affairs department at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), explained that "the Imam al-Hussayn's holy shrine extends thanks to the organizers of this festival, from the Husseini bodies, processions and religious institutions, as well as the holy shrines and other supporting bodies".
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Ali Bahr al-Uloom, secretary general of Bahr al-Uloom Foundation, added during his speech at the festival, "we thank all those who sought and worked to make this great festival a success, which concerns the revival of Eid Al-Ghadeer."
It is noteworthy that the activities of the ceremony also witnessed the participation of students of the Amir Al-Qurra [prince of readers] national project, one of the projects of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with the collective recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
