The representations and units of the Department of rituals and processions in the provinces receive the flags of the Hussayni mourning

The representative offices and units of the Hussayni rituals and processions Department of the two holy shrines in the provinces received the flags of Hussayni mourning, which will be raised this Friday evening, in conjunction with the rituals of replacing the flags of the dome of the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), according to the geographical location of each representative office and unit.

The head of the aforementioned Department; Sayed Aqeel Abd al-Hussayn al-Yasiri, stated to Al-Kafeel Network, "it is customary on such days that our department hands over 20 flags of Hussayni condolence to its representations' officials in the Iraqi provinces".

He added that "the representatives of the department used to raise the flag of mourning and condolence at the beginning of each month of Muharram, specifically on the first night, to announce the beginning of the season of mourning of the holy household of the Holy Prophet; Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon them), and this is a condolence activity used to be held by the representatives of the department in all governorates, with special condolence rituals in the presence of large crowds of mourners".

Al-Yasiri explained that " these flags have two faces, one side with (Ya Hussayn) and the other side (ya Qamar Bani Hashem), where there will be special condolence rituals to make this flag, which will be raised in each governorate to denote the word of Lady Zaynab(peace be upon her), this flag will be erected whenever the imams of injustice strive to erase its trace, so it will only increase higher and higher, so that all these governorates will be a Taff of al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)".

It is noteworthy that the ceremony of raising the flags of grief has become a Hussayni custom or ritual, which has been traditionally held by believers in most areas inside and outside Iraq, marking the beginning of the Hussayni season of grief and the entry of the holy month of Muharram.
