A medical team specialized in neurosurgery at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala announced its success in treating a young patient with limb weakness, noting that the presence of advanced operating theaters encouraged the team to perform operations that were not easy to perform previously.
Dr. Khaled al-Sarraj, a specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, said, "We recently succeeded in stabilizing the lumbar vertebrae and implanting artificial cartilage for a 32-year-old patient, indicating that he was suffering from a severe herniated disc that caused him to weaken the lower extremities, with a retention in diuresis".
Al-Sarraj added that "Al-Kafeel hospital is distinguished by having very modern halls, which had a great role in encouraging us to perform operations that were not easy to perform inside Iraq previously, as it provided a lot of facilities by providing more modern and advanced technologies".
