The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine covers a number of streets with 3200 square meters of Saran cloth

The staff of Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, completed the work of covering the space of Al-Jumhuriya Street with the shaded (Saran) cover from the top, to reduce the effects of sunlight on the mourners participating in the mourning ritual of the Twayreej run.

This initiative came in order to reduce the impact of the sun's rays on the mourners using this road, which is the main road that mourners will take in these rituals, which will last for more than three hours. The area of ​​what was covered with the saran cover reached 3,200 square meters.

The covered areas that the staffs of the Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine also participated in their work, included both the streets surrounding the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in addition to one of the sections of al-Jumhuriya Street, which is the main road used in the run of Twayreej ritual towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

These works are continuing and will include streets and other spaces using human and mechanical effort.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with all its departments, has announced the completion of the necessary preparations for the commemoration of the night of Ashura and the mourning of the run of Twayreej.
