The project of teaching correct reading to visitors witnessed a wide turnout, by those walking to Karbala to perform the Ziyarat Arba'een.
The project, which is being organized by the scientific society of the Holy Quran, represented by the Institute of the Holy Quran and its affiliated branches, aims to spread the culture of the holy book, according to the director of the Institute of the Holy Quran, Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi.
"In its early days, the project received thousands of visitors in the southern governorates, which witnessed the opening of several stations in them," he added, noting that "the illiterate and the youth were the majority of the beneficiaries of the project, which included, in addition to teaching Surah Al-Fatiha, the short Surahs and the Dhikr of prayer, Quranic knowledge competitions, and blessed recitations".
Nasrawi pointed out that the provinces of Diwaniya, Babylon, Baghdad and Karbala will witness the opening of stations to teach correct reading over the next few days.
