Medical Affairs Division: deployment of (16) medical detachments inside and outside the holy shrine

The Medical Affairs Division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine revealed the presence of (16) medical detachments inside and outside the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The administrative director of the Division, Adel Saad Jihad, said, " We have deployed (16) medical detachments inside and outside the Hoyl Courtyard that work to treat minor and medium cases and also provide the necessary care for difficult cases, and then refer them to the hospital by the medical evacuation teams located in and around the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which operate with (500) elements .

Jihad added that "there are 4 deployed detachments inside the holy shrine, and 8 detachments outside, in addition to the presence of a mobile emergency vehicle, two emergency centers, in addition to a field hospital belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces, as well as (15) ambulances".


Regarding the number of volunteers from the medical staff and evacuation teams, the director of the division's Department said, " We have (365) male volunteers and (400) female volunteers from the medical staff from various specialties," adding that "the volunteer medical staff came from government departments, while the Volunteers of the rescue teams were sent by the imam Hassan Foundation (peace be upon him) in Basra" .

Regarding cooperation with the government side, Jihad explained, "the work is being coordinated and supervised by the Karbala health department and the Department of operations and emergency medical services at the Ministry of Health" .
