Department of Rituals: we succeeded in conducting Husseini processions participating in the Ziyarat Arba'een

The Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions and Bodies in Iraq and the Islamic world announced the success of its plan to facilitate the entry of Hussayni processions participating in the ceremonies commemorating the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The head of the Department of the Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas's (p) holy shrines; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that "the hussayni processions began their entry from the main barrier of Imam al-Hussayn's Qibla Street (peace be upon him) and passed through the Square between the two holy shrines and concluded at the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), indicating that each procession descended according to the time set for it, starting with the Dha'n and Zinjeel processions and finally the lamentation mourning processions, which lasted for five days."

He added that "the visit this year witnessed an increase in the number of processions participating in the Arba'een ceremonies; as a result of their non-participation in the past two years due to the corona pandemic, pointing out that the staff of the department was present to serve the owners of the Hussayni processions and conduct their movement during the days of the Ziyarat".

al-Yasseri stressed "the success of the Department's plan to conduct the movement of mourning processions and with the support of the rest of the Departments of the holy shrine".

As for the participation of Arab and foreign processions, this year has witnessed an increase in their numbers and their descent in unified processions such as the Bahrain and Saudi processions, as well as solo processions, which we hope will be unified next year, according to the head of the department," he said.
