The African Studies Center receives a delegation from Liberia and agreed to implement humanitarian programs

The Center for African Studies at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine received a delegation of followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the state of Liberia.

Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, director of the mentioned center of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, said that "We conducted a meeting that included a number of Department officials at the center and the delegation, through which it was agreed to implement a number of preaching, Quranic and humanitarian programs during the coming period in various cities of the state of Liberia."

"There are large crowds in the state of Liberia from the followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) eager to learn the religious and moral knowledge of Islam," he added.

The center, under the supervision of the Senior Official of the holy shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, is working on drilling dozens of wells within the "Saqi Atashi Karbala Wells" program in thirteen African countries to provide water to thousands of families, according to al-Shammari.

Regarding the importance of the center in the African continent, al-Shammari said, "We are working to spread the authentic Mohammedan religious awareness on the African continent and adopt religious, humanitarian and cultural programs, as well as support and care for African communities in Iraq."
