Completion of the dismantling of the old grid of the shrine of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her)

The Department of the manufacture of grids and doors of shrines at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the completion of the dismantling of all metal and wooden parts of the old grid of the shrine of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), in record time.

The supervisor of the department; Kadhem Obada, said that "the works were carried out according to a plan set by the committee supervising the work, which was carried out in record time," indicating that "it was scheduled to be completed in six days, but with the high diligence, dedication and sincerity of the staff, the time factor was reduced and they were able to complete the dismantling works completely in a record time of only ten hours.

He stressed that "the dismantling works were in parallel lines, including the dismantling of the parts that are carried out very carefully in order to preserve each part of these pieces from the damage that may affect them, and this necessitated the use of tools and a special number to dismantle each piece, according to the quality of each metal, thickness, location and method of installation, because the pieces are fixed by nails and this requires extreme accuracy in the dismantling work."

"The craftsmanship and professionalism of making the new grid of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), which was made exclusively by Iraqis, from the servants of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), were represented also in the dismantling work, as these qualities were needed in order to preserve every part and piece of this immortal travel."

Regarding the new grid of the Shrine, Obada pointed out that "construction plans have been drawn up for its installation to replace the old one".

He concluded by saying that "all the pieces that were dismantled were numbered with digital codes, then wrapped with plastic strips and a piece of cloth, to be placed inside boxes made according to the measurement of each part and piece, and two more numbers and codes are placed on the box and then transferred to the warehouses of the holy shrine of the immaculate lady Zaynab (peace be upon her)".
