The Department of Religious Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine received a multinational delegation of followers of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as part of its program to receive delegations from Arab and foreign countries.

The head of the Department, Sheikh Salah al-karbala'i, said that "the visiting delegation was mostly Turks residing in Germany and the Netherlands, and the largest part of them were visiting Iraq and its holy shrines for the first time".

He added that "the delegation was headed by the imam of the Rotterdam mosque Sheikh Israfil Demirtkin from the Netherlands, who expressed his great pleasure and joy for this visit, and for having the honor and blessing to visit the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

"The meeting with the delegation witnessed a brief presentation about the most prominent architectural and service projects established by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which aimed to serve visitors to this holy shrine and the people of Karbala in particular, and how it contributed to spreading the culture and thought of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in many ways," al-Karbala'i said.

"We also gave them some recommendations on how to adhere to the approach of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and commemorate their birth and martyrdom anniversaries, while emphasizing that they should be a good role model in the communities in which they live," he said.

At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality, and blessed gifts were presented to them from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him).
