A surgical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala succeeded in removing a large metastatic tumor in a patient's brain through a complex qualitative operation.
"The medical team successfully performed an operation to remove a hemangioma extending from the base of the skull to the neck and from there to the brain, "said the specialist of neurosurgery at the hospital, Dr. Khaled al-Sarraj.
"We were able to completely remove the tumor from the head of the 42-year-old patient, confirming that the patient is now in good health," he added.
"The success of the operation and the control of the case was thanks to the presence of an outstanding team of skilled doctors and experienced nurses in addition to the modern technologies available in the hospital's operating theaters," al-Sarraj explained.
