The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs holds the central celebration of the birth of the Great Prophet

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held, on Friday, the central celebration of the birth of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) as part of the activities of the Great Prophet's Cultural Week held by the Great Prophet's House.

Dr. Laith al-Wa'eli, assistant president of the House, said in a speech at the closing ceremony that the month of Rabi al-Awwal this year evokes two contradictory feelings, the first is joy, pleasure and delight in the memory of the Blessed Prophet's birth, and the second is a feeling of sadness, pain and soreness over the state of the nation in our time," he said.

He added that celebrating the birth of the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) is a duty to this great personality, and it is enough for us to be proud that we are those who celebrate the birth of the messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) in glorification of his status...

The House of the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) has been keen to be a purposeful platform that is true-speaking and sincere with the love of the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold), showing his bright biography and inimitable personality by holding scientific conferences and cultural seminars and issuing books and magazines specialized in talking about him," explains al-Wa'eli.

He stressed that "the Holy Quran and the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) are the ones who unite us, so today we want to use this great occasion to be our motto after today, Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Houseold) as our role model.

The ceremony included presenting poems by poets Hassan Sami and Fadel Hassan, followed by an introductory film to the House of the great prophet and its activities.

The ceremony concluded with a research session by Sheikh Zaman al-Hasnawi entitled (praise of the Great Prophet).
