The Gifts and Vows Department finishes embroidering and sewing the grid's cover of the shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon them)

The staffs of the Gifts and Vows Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine have finished embroidering and sewing the grid's cover of the shrines of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon them) and the grids located in the holy shrine.

"After we received the calligraphy from the Samarra Holy Shrine, we transferred it to the electronic calculator, which in turn converted it to the computer, to do the design and embroidery process," said the head of the sewing division in the Department, Mr. Abdul-Zahra Daoud Salman.

Daoud explained that "the quality of the fabric from which the cover was embroidered is (Al-qadifa al-Aswad), which surface will contain embroidered verses from the Holy Quran," adding that "the dimensions of one cover will be 180 cm wide and 95 cm high, to cover the four graves, namely the graves of Imam al-'Askari, Imam al-Hadi, as well as the graves of Lady Hakeema and Lady Narjis (peace be upon them, as there will be four pieces for each cover."

According to Abdul Zahra, the duration of the work will be a full month, and the cloth pieces will be covering their holy graves at the beginning of Muharram next year.
