The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honored more than 600 outstanding students from the orphans and the poor during the ceremony, which was held in cooperation with the Noor Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) Charity Foundation.
The ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by the head of the Religious Affairs Department; Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, representing His Eminence the Senior Official; Sayed. Ahmad al-Safi, in which he stressed the interest of the Supreme Religious Authority; His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani in this segment and the need to support them, calling on all institutions to adopt this blessed line.
This was followed by a speech of the Noor Al-Hassan Charity Foundation, delivered by its president; Eng. Isa Mohammed Al-Hasani, in which he said that this success of the dear students is due only to effort, giving, determination and defiance of all the circumstances and suffering experienced by our people, and under the ashes we see excellent and superior students emerging. God enabled us to create a future and stand in front of these students who instilled hope in our souls, that they will make a better future".
He added that "the foundation is honored to serve more than 600 families of martyrs and has many projects that serve them, including the Social Solidarity Project, which includes salaries, monthly grants, food and clothing, as well as the free medical care project and free legal support, in addition to the cultural project including religious and social lectures, guidance and scientific, professional capacity building project, workshops and other projects aimed at serving this category".
The ceremony also witnessed chants presented by the chanting troops of the Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (p) holy shrines.
This was followed by a speech of the outstanding students delivered by student Mohammed Sadeq, which included thanking the religious authority and promising to be builders of the country, as well as thanking his mother, the great lady, who was a real support and the foundation that did everything possible to provide adequate support to all students, while wishing all the best to the supporters and sponsors.
The ceremony concluded with honoring the outstanding students, who are more than 600 students, by the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Dia' uddin, and the head of the Religious Affairs Department; Sheikh Salah al-karbala'i.
