The El-Abbas Holy Shrine was covered with black, mourning the death of Ummul-Beneen (Peace Be Upon her).

Such an event annually commemorated in order to demonstrate and interpret who Ummul-Beneen (Peace Be Upon Her) is. poems about her were recited, and a lecture was delivered on part of her life and her position towards Ahlul-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them).
