Al-Kafeel Company for Public Investments: our production of sheep is constantly increasing

Al-Kafeel Company for Public Investments in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, through its Anwar Al-Saqi project, confirmed the increasing numbers of sheep production, as it is an important source of meat production in local markets.

The procurement officer of the project, Mr. Hadi Abbas Rebat, said that "the Anwar Al-Saqi project is one of the main projects in the company to produce meat at increasing rates in order to meet the need of the local market in the city of Karbala in addition to meeting the need of the host restaurant of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine".

"The purpose of establishing this project is to reduce the burden of increasing feed prices in the local market and increase the number of livestock, and now we have self-sufficiency, as coarse feed and dates suitable for animal consumption are available," he added.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ali from the project said, "We have vaccine programs and preventive programs to protect livestock, which include enterotoxic vaccines, foot-and-mouth fever vaccine and smallpox vaccine, while preventive programs include multiple medical and precautionary measures to preserve the lives of livestock and treat them from diseases".
