The funeral of the Husseini poet Abdul Rasul al-Khafaji at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine

This afternoon, the funeral of the poet and writer Abdul Rasul al-Khafaji, who is considered one of the most prominent poets of the hussayni processions in Iraq, was held at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The solemn funeral was attended by a large gathering of the people of Karbala and the owners of Husseini processions and the servants of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The poet (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote dozens of Husseini poems and many Husseini Radoods recited them, the most prominent of which was Radood Hamza al-Zghayer.
