Department of Engineering Maintenance and Construction.. Outstanding efforts in the implementation of various engineering works

The Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, works with distinguished and intensive efforts in carrying out various engineering works through a number of working divisions, including the Construction Works Division.

"Our division, which consists of five units, is continuously working on the Maintenance and implementation of the buildings of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, after its plans are prepared by the specialized engineers in the department, followed by the implementation process according to the specialization of each unit," said the division's official in the said Department, engineer Karrar Brehi Mohammed.

He added that "the division provides full support to all departments, from preparing administrative places and standing on the service projects provided by the holy shrine periodically, as well as taking care of the streets surrounding the holy shrine and conducting ongoing maintenance of the sanctuary, which includes the maintenance of ceilings and walls consisting of mirrors and Alabaster, in addition to the maintenance of the roof of the holy sanctuary."

"We are working in high coordination with the rest of the divisions of our department, such as the electricity and cooling division, to accomplish a lot of work related to the projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as well as other services that we provide in cooperation with the rest of the departments," he said.

Mohammed explained that "the work of the division is not limited to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine only, but provides general maintenance for schools and public institutions, which includes a lot of work, including maintenance, painting buildings, preparing squares and floors, door maintenance, and other works required by each institution".

He concluded that "the staff of the division is characterized by specialization and professionalism in the implementation of works and we were able to achieve self-sufficiency for what the holy shrine needs from these works and we have active participation in a number of projects implemented by the Engineering Projects Department".
