The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine holds the first tribal conference

The Public Relations Department held the first tribal conference at the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine on Saturday under the slogan: (unity and work according to the directives of the religious authority).

The conference was held at the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in the presence of the governor of Karbala, government and tribal figures, as well as a number of officials of the holy shrine.

The conference included a speech by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by its secretary-general; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Dea' Ud-Din, in which he stressed that "the primary rule in Islam is acquaintance, cooperation and exchange of experiences, there should be no intersection and fighting, but peace and harmony".

The conference witnessed a speech by the governor of Karbala, Mr. Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi, during which he explained that "the tribes recorded a historical position by supporting Iraq after the fatwa of the religious authority".

For his part, Sheikh Abdul-Sahib al-Ta'i, the official of the Public Speaking Division for Husseini Preaching Department at the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine, stressed in a speech the importance of referring to Islamic law in resolving conflicts, stressing not to resort to violence contrary to religious and Islamic values, which spread terror in the souls of those who are safe, as this is usually rejected by all wise and reasonable people..."

For his part, the director of Tribal Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Nasser al-Nouri, explained during a speech at the conference that "the tribal system is part of the security system, and a support for the security services of all kinds".

The conference concluded by opening the door of dialogue between the participants on the need to adhere to the Sharia and the law in resolving tribal conflicts.
