The Public Relations Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has received, within the project "sponsor a talent", the national team of amputees who qualified for the World Cup finals in Turkey.
"We prepared a special program for the delegation of the national selection that lasted for two days, which included a visit to the two holy shrines, a tour of the projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine and its museum, tourist tours in the governorate, as well as cultural lectures, including a lecture on sports injuries at the AL-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, presented by a specialist doctor,"said the project unit official, Mr. Amr al-Ula al-Kafai.
For his part, lecturer Mr. Jassam al-Saidi said, "we were honored to serve our national team for amputees, and we presented a workshop on the achievements of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and the suspicions raised about this topic".
For his part, the founder of the sport of football for amputees in Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Adnan Najjar, said: "the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was the first entity to receive us after we qualified for the World Cup finals, and we were briefed on its large projects that provide public service and employ the workforce in the country."
