The Media Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association, launched the Scout wooden badge course with the participation of more than 40 trainees from various governorates of the country.
The official of the Planning, Training and Development Commission in the association; Dr. Zaman al-Kenani, said: "the activities of the wooden badge course for the scouting stage in Iraq were launched for the first time, in cooperation between the Ministry of youth and sports and the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association, and under the supervision and direct training of the Iraqi Scouts Association and the Council of Girl Scouts of Iraq".
He added that" more than 40 participants trained in this course from various governorates of the country participated in the course, while the trainers numbered 12 international trainers, who participated in training and presenting the curricula of this course, "pointing out that "the course will last from the 22nd to the 28th of this month".
He pointed out that "the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has provided all the material, logistical, moral, administrative support and full media support from food and housing, and a lot of needs, devices and equipment, to hold this course in the holy city of Karbala for the first time".
Al-Kenani pointed out that" the course is the first of its kind in Iraq, as it adopts excellent scouting curricula and is considered one of the curricula of the Arab Scout organization, and is unified in international scout associations, "stressing that" the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association is making great efforts to build a generation of leaders in this field of scouting."
